Today I’m very happy to announce – Pre-release of album [ Melodies – Chillout Selection ] which features 12 melodic tunes I released between 2000 -2018, has now begun on Bandcamp.
Normally my field are psychedelic-hinted downtempo, but this one focuses on more easy-listening side of my musical world with lounge vibes. I think they are perfect for lazy afternoon in August-September.
I produced them for various compis and albums in multiple locations I lived, inc. Tokyo, Devon (UK), Bali and my current base Nice Côte d’Azur, South of France.
This album features four wonderful vocalists: Lex Empress, who lives in Ibiza and performed the opening ritual on the main stage at Boom Festival a few years ago; British singer Sophie Barker, Well known for her solo work and as a lead singer of the popular British band Zero7; and American AndreasOne, So beloved for his collaborations on my tracks inc. [D.I.V.E] [Semoleksy Ascending], and Kamau Abayomi an artist active as a spiritual performer (who has married a Japanese woman and moved to Japan this week! Congratulations! ). In addition to these, features Chika Asamoto, Japan’s leading Jazz saxophonists, and Bulgarian pianist Martin Denev Music (Martin Denev ) who played beautiful jazzy electric piano on [Vibrasphere], a popular track from my 2024 album [Cinemadelica].

Several guest musicians continue to collaborate on my recent releases so this album can be an interesting archive for understanding my musical journey.

Aujourd’hui, je suis très heureuse de vous annoncer que la pré-sortie de l’album [ Melodies – Chillout Selection ], qui regroupe 12 morceaux mélodiques que j’ai sortis entre 2000 et 2018, a désormais commencé sur Bandcamp.
D’ordinaire, je m’oriente vers un downtempo aux accents psychédéliques, mais cet album met davantage l’accent sur le côté « easy listening » de mon univers musical, avec des ambiances lounge. Je pense que ces morceaux sont parfaits pour un après-midi de farniente en août ou en septembre.
Je les ai produits pour diverses compilations et albums dans les différents endroits où j’ai vécu, notamment à Tokyo, dans le Devon (Royaume-Uni), à Bali et à Nice, sur la Côte d’Azur, où je réside actuellement, dans le sud de la France.
Cet album met à l’honneur quatre formidables chanteurs. Lex Empress, qui réside à Ibiza et qui a assuré le rituel d’ouverture de la scène principale lors du Boom Festival il y a quelques années ; Sophie Barker, bien connue pour sa carrière solo et en tant que chanteuse principale du célèbre groupe britannique Zero7 ; AndreasOne, Tellement apprécié pour ses collaborations sur mes morceaux, notamment [D.I.V.E] et [Semoleksy Ascending], ainsi que l’artiste américain Kamau Abayomi, qui se produit en tant qu’artiste spirituel (qui vient de s’installer au Japon cette semaine après avoir épousé une Japonaise ! Félicitations !).
À cela s’ajoutent Chika Asamoto, l’une des saxophonistes les plus représentatives du Japon, ainsi que le pianiste bulgare Martin Denev qui a interprété un magnifique solo de piano électrique aux accents jazz sur le titre [Vibrasphere], extrait de l’album «Cinemadelica» sorti en 2024.
9 des 12 morceaux sont des nouvelles versions ou des remasterisations.
Plusieurs musiciens invités continuent de collaborer à mes dernières sorties ; cet album peut donc constituer une archive intéressante pour comprendre mon parcours musical.
Même si la diffusion en streaming sur des plateformes telles que Spotify débutera le 13 septembre, les ventes sur Bandcamp serviront à financer les coûts de production du nouvel album (Cinemadelica 2 !!), c’est pourquoi votre soutien et votre enthousiasme seraient très appréciés xxx

‘Waltz on Dusk Sand’ is a cinematic track that opens this carefully curated chill-out collection. It was originally produced as the opening track for the chill-out compilation ‘ Chillpresso 1 – Dari Bali ‘ , released in 2007 in Bali by her own label, Hypo-Espresso Records. Blending jazzy waltz rhythms with lush horns, strings, and dreamy textures. Featuring the soulful vocals of Dutch singer Lex Empress, this track transports listeners to the serene beaches at dusk with elegant, storytelling chillout vibes. Read Lyrics :
« Waltz on Dusk Sand » est un morceau cinématographique qui ouvre cette compilation chill-out soigneusement sélectionnée. Il a été composé en 2007 à Bali pour figurer en ouverture de la compilation chill-out « Chillpresso 1 – Dari Bali », publiée par son propre label, Hypo-Espresso Records. Un rythme de valse jazzy s’y mêle à des cuivres et des cordes riches, ainsi qu’à des sonorités oniriques. Original was produced in 2015 at the artist’s home studio in Seminyak, Bali, for the concept album [BIASA – Deep Inside The Bamboo Forest], released to coincide with the new collection from ‘Biasa’, a popular organic fashion brand based in Bali. It features the renowned Japanese jazz saxophonist Chika Asamoto, who was also living in Bali at the time; the title ‘Sayan’ is the name of a valley near Ubud, where she lived, which is considered sacred by Balinese Hindus. The delicate interplay of synths and bass, combined with Asamoto’s ethereal saxophone, creates a serene, ambient atmosphere.
Cette œuvre a été enregistrée en 2015 dans son studio personnel situé à Seminyak, à Bali, à l’occasion de la sortie de l’album conceptuel « BIASA – Deep Inside The Bamboo Forest », créé pour accompagner la nouvelle collection de « Biasa », une marque de mode bio très populaire à Bali. The original was produced in 2002 in Devon, the picturesque English countryside where she was living at the time, and was included on the compilation CD [FRAU-Ambient London 401], released exclusively in Japan in 2002 by the fashion magazine FRAU.This extended and remastered version was produced in 2026 specifically for this release in Nice Côte d’Azur.
La version originale a été enregistrée en 2002 à Devon, une région rurale pittoresque du Royaume-Uni où elle résidait à l’époque, puis incluse en 2002 dans la compilation « FRAU-Ambient London 401 », publiée exclusivement au Japon par le magazine de mode « FRAU ».La production de cette version étendue et remasterisée a été réalisée spécialement pour cet album en 2026 à Nice Côte d’Azur.

This track was produced in Bali shortly after the sudden death of her close friend Edward Metcalfe in London in 2011.Featuring singer is Sophie Barker whom known for her solo career and as a singer of popular British band Zero7. Barker and Supercozi know each other since her UK years (2000-2023), also both were close friends of Edward thus this collaboration happened as a tribute for him. Track was then released in 2015 as a part of album [ Bioshifter]. Read Lyrics :
Ce morceau a été enregistré à Bali peu après le décès soudain de son ami proche Edward Metcalfe, survenu à Londres en 2011. La chanteuse Sophie Barker, connue pour sa carrière solo et pour avoir fait partie du célèbre groupe britannique Zero7, y prête sa voix. Barker et Supercozi se connaissent depuis l’époque où elle vivait au Royaume-Uni (2000-2023) ; tous deux étaient par ailleurs des amis proches d’Edward, c’est pourquoi cette collaboration a vu le jour en hommage à ce dernier. Cosmic vibes Jazz-Dubtronica. Original was produced in Bali around 2014-2015 for album [Bioshifter] released in 2015. Featuring electric piano by Bulgarian nu-jazz producer Martin Denev, whom collaborated with her again on tune [Vibrasphere] for album [Cinemadelica] released in 2024 from UK label Liquid Sound Design.
Ambiance cosmique mêlant Jazz et Dubtronica. Le morceau original a été produit à Bali vers 2014-2015 pour l’album [Bioshifter], sorti en 2015. Il met en vedette le piano électrique de Martin Denev, producteur bulgare de nu-jazz, qui a de nouveau collaboré avec elle sur le titre [Vibrasphere] de l’album [Cinemadelica], sorti en 2024 sur le label britannique Liquid Sound Design.

Originally released as closing tune of album CD [Super Cozy] under the artist name Cozi from a Danish indie label Tender Production in 2000. This is oldest tune she created in this album which back to 1999, in her tiny home studio in Nisiazabu / Tokyo. She used : Vision software on early Mackintosh computer, Yamaha Sound Module, Novation Super Bass station, and mixed / recorded into a cassette tape on The Fostex 460 / 8 channel tape Recorder. Then after the mixing on the same Fostex, mix were bounced into DAT as a Master. Then it was transferred it to a proper digital console in a professional studio nearby as stereo mix, and recorded her voice on top & mixed down. Read Lyrics :
Initialement sortie en 2000 en tant que morceau de clôture de l’album CD [Super Cozy] sous le nom d’artiste Cozi, sur le label indépendant danois Tender Production. Il s’agit du morceau le plus ancien qu’elle ait composé pour cet album, datant de 1999, dans son minuscule home studio de Nisiazabu, à Tokyo. Elle a utilisé : le logiciel Vision sur un ancien ordinateur Macintosh, un module de sons Yamaha, une Novation Super Bass Station, et a mixé et enregistré le tout sur une cassette à l’aide d’un magnétophone Fostex 460 à 8 pistes. Après le mixage sur ce même Fostex, le mix a été transféré sur DAT pour servir de master. Le morceau a ensuite été transféré vers une console numérique dans un studio professionnel voisin sous forme de mixage stéréo, puis sa voix a été enregistrée par-dessus et le tout a été remixé.

Lex Empress, qui réside à Ibiza et qui a assuré le rituel d’ouverture de la scène principale lors du Boom Festival il y a quelques années ; Sophie Barker, bien connue pour sa carrière solo et en tant que chanteuse principale du célèbre groupe britannique Zero7 ; AndreasOne, Tellement apprécié pour ses collaborations sur mes morceaux, notamment [D.I.V.E] et [Semoleksy Ascending], ainsi que l’artiste américain Kamau Abayomi, qui se produit en tant qu’artiste spirituel (qui vient de s’installer au Japon cette semaine après avoir épousé une Japonaise ! Félicitations !).
À cela s’ajoutent Chika Asamoto, l’une des saxophonistes les plus représentatives du Japon, ainsi que le pianiste bulgare Martin Denev qui a interprété un magnifique solo de piano électrique aux accents jazz sur le titre [Vibrasphere], extrait de l’album «Cinemadelica» sorti en 2024.
9 des 12 morceaux sont des nouvelles versions ou des remasterisations.
Plusieurs musiciens invités continuent de collaborer à mes dernières sorties ; cet album peut donc constituer une archive intéressante pour comprendre mon parcours musical.
Même si la diffusion en streaming sur des plateformes telles que Spotify débutera le 13 septembre, les ventes sur Bandcamp serviront à financer les coûts de production du nouvel album (Cinemadelica 2 !!), c’est pourquoi votre soutien et votre enthousiasme seraient très appréciés xxx

いつも私の音楽を聴いてくれている日本の皆さんへ。
本日、2000年から2018年にかけて私がリリースした12曲のメロディアスな楽曲を収録したアルバム『Melodies – Chillout Selection』の先行リリースが、Bandcampにて開始されました。
普段はサイケデリックな要素を帯びたダウンテンポが私の得意分野ですが、本作では私の音世界の中でラウンジ風で聴きやすい作品に焦点を当てています。8月から9月にかけてののんびりとした午後にぴったりだと思います。
これらの楽曲は、東京、デヴォン（イギリス）、バリ島、そして現在の拠点である南フランスのニース・コート・ダジュールなど、私が住んできた様々な場所で、様々なコンピレーションやアルバムのために制作したものです。
このアルバムでは4人の素晴らしいボーカリストをフューチャリングしています。
イビザ在住で数年前のブーム・フェスティバルではメインステージのオープニング・リチュアルを担当したレックス・エンプレス、ソロ活動や英国の人気バンドZero7のリードシンガーとして広く知られているソフィー・バーカー、私の楽曲 [D.I.V.E] [Semoleksy Ascending ] などでのコラボでお馴染みの米国のアンドレアスワン、スピリチャルなパフォーマーとして活躍する米国人アーティストのカマウ・アバヨミ（日本人女性と結婚して今週日本へ移住しました！おめでとう！）です。
これに加えて日本を代表するサックス奏者の朝本千可さん、２０２４年のアルバム『シネマデリカ』の人気曲 [Vibrasphere ]で美しくジャジーなエレクトリック・ピアノを弾いてくれたブルガリアのピアニストのマーティン・デネブをフューチャリングしています。
12曲のうち9曲は、新エディットもしくはリマスターされたものです。
数名のゲストミュージシャンは最近のリリースでも引き続きコラボレーションに参加してくれているため、このアルバムは私の音楽的なジャーニーをより深く感じるための興味深いアーカイブになると思います。
Spotifyなどのプラットフォームでの配信は9月13日から開始されますが、Bandcampでの売上は新アルバム（『Cinemadelica 2!!』）の制作費に充てられますので、皆様の温かいご支援を何卒よろしくお願いいたします。

‘Waltz on Dusk Sand’ is a cinematic track that opens this carefully curated chill-out collection. It was originally produced as the opening track for the chill-out compilation ‘ Chillpresso 1 – Dari Bali ‘ , released in 2007 in Bali by her own label, Hypo-Espresso Records.
Blending jazzy waltz rhythms with lush horns, strings, and dreamy textures. Featuring the soulful vocals of Dutch singer Lex Empress, this track transports listeners to the serene beaches at dusk with elegant, storytelling chillout vibes.

« Waltz on Dusk Sand » est un morceau cinématographique qui ouvre cette compilation chill-out soigneusement sélectionnée. Il a été composé en 2007 à Bali pour figurer en ouverture de la compilation chill-out « Chillpresso 1 – Dari Bali », publiée par son propre label, Hypo-Espresso Records.
Un rythme de valse jazzy s’y mêle à des cuivres et des cordes riches, ainsi qu’à des sonorités oniriques.

Original was produced in 2015 at the artist’s home studio in Seminyak, Bali, for the concept album [BIASA – Deep Inside The Bamboo Forest], released to coincide with the new collection from ‘Biasa’, a popular organic fashion brand based in Bali.
It features the renowned Japanese jazz saxophonist Chika Asamoto, who was also living in Bali at the time; the title ‘Sayan’ is the name of a valley near Ubud, where she lived, which is considered sacred by Balinese Hindus.
The delicate interplay of synths and bass, combined with Asamoto’s ethereal saxophone, creates a serene, ambient atmosphere.

当時同じくバリ島に在住していた、著名な日本のジャズ・サックス奏者、朝本千可がフィーチャリングされており、タイトル『Sayan』は、彼女が暮らしていたウブド近郊にある、バリ・ヒンドゥー教徒にとって神聖な谷の名前でもある。
シンセの繊細な重なりと、朝本の神秘的なサックスが、静謐でアンビエントな雰囲気を醸し出している。

The original was produced in 2002 in Devon, the picturesque English countryside where she was living at the time, and was included on the compilation CD [FRAU-Ambient London 401], released exclusively in Japan in 2002 by the fashion magazine FRAU.This extended and remastered version was produced in 2026 specifically for this release in Nice Côte d’Azur.
La version originale a été enregistrée en 2002 à Devon, une région rurale pittoresque du Royaume-Uni où elle résidait à l’époque, puis incluse en 2002 dans la compilation « FRAU-Ambient London 401 », publiée exclusivement au Japon par le magazine de mode « FRAU ».La production de cette version étendue et remasterisée a été réalisée spécialement pour cet album en 2026 à Nice Côte d’Azur.

This track was produced in Bali shortly after the sudden death of her close friend Edward Metcalfe in London in 2011.Featuring singer is Sophie Barker whom known for her solo career and as a singer of popular British band Zero7.
Barker and Supercozi know each other since her UK years (2000-2023), also both were close friends of Edward thus this collaboration happened as a tribute for him.
Track was then released in 2015 as a part of album [ Bioshifter].

Ce morceau a été enregistré à Bali peu après le décès soudain de son ami proche Edward Metcalfe, survenu à Londres en 2011. La chanteuse Sophie Barker, connue pour sa carrière solo et pour avoir fait partie du célèbre groupe britannique Zero7, y prête sa voix.
Barker et Supercozi se connaissent depuis l’époque où elle vivait au Royaume-Uni (2000-2023) ; tous deux étaient par ailleurs des amis proches d’Edward, c’est pourquoi cette collaboration a vu le jour en hommage à ce dernier.
Le titre est ensuite sorti en 2015 dans le cadre de l’album [Bioshifter].

Featuring vocalist is American rapper / performance artist Kamau Abayomi whom also was a Bali residents at the time. He relocated to Japan in 2026.
This new version was produced / remastered for this album in 2026 in Nice Côte d’Azur.
Le morceau original a été enregistré à Bali vers 2015-2016, puis finalisé à Nice en 2018 pour la compilation de Youth [Music To Get High To], sortie en 2018 sur le label britannique Liquid Sound Design. Originally released as closing tune of album CD [Super Cozy] under the artist name Cozi from a Danish indie label Tender Production in 2000.
This is oldest tune she created in this album which back to 1999, in her tiny home studio in Nisiazabu / Tokyo.
She used : Vision software on early Mackintosh computer, Yamaha Sound Module, Novation Super Bass station, and mixed / recorded into a cassette tape on The Fostex 460 / 8 channel tape Recorder. Then after the mixing on the same Fostex, mix were bounced into DAT as a Master.
Then it was transferred it to a proper digital console in a professional studio nearby as stereo mix, and recorded her voice on top & mixed down.

Initialement sortie en 2000 en tant que morceau de clôture de l’album CD [Super Cozy] sous le nom d’artiste Cozi, sur le label indépendant danois Tender Production.
Il s’agit du morceau le plus ancien qu’elle ait composé pour cet album, datant de 1999, dans son minuscule home studio de Nisiazabu, à Tokyo.
Elle a utilisé : le logiciel Vision sur un ancien ordinateur Macintosh, un module de sons Yamaha, une Novation Super Bass Station, et a mixé et enregistré le tout sur une cassette à l’aide d’un magnétophone Fostex 460 à 8 pistes. Après le mixage sur ce même Fostex, le mix a été transféré sur DAT pour servir de master.
Le morceau a ensuite été transféré vers une console numérique dans un studio professionnel voisin sous forme de mixage stéréo, puis sa voix a été enregistrée par-dessus et le tout a été remixé.

このアルバム収録曲の中で最も古い楽曲であり、1999年に東京・西麻布にあった彼女の小さなホームスタジオで制作された。
使用機材は、初期のMacintoshコンピュータ上のVisionソフトウェア、ヤマハのサウンドモジュール、NovationのSuper Bass Stationで、Fostex 460（8チャンネル・テープレコーダー）を使ってカセットテープに録音・ミキシングを行い、そのミックスをDATにバウンスしてマスターを作成。
