OK Chill tribes …. New EP ‘ Summer Edits ‘ is OUT NOW ♪
3 new edits of my old good melody tunes – ‘ Waltz On The Dusk Sand ‘ featuring Ibiza based goddess Lex Empress ( This tune was opening of ‘ Chillpresso 1 Dari Bali ‘ in 2007 .. 17 years ago !! Can’t believe it !! ) , ‘ Feels Like Yesterday ‘ featuring my good friend Sophie Baker ( 2015 Release ) and one more surprise addition ‘ Universe ‘ that I released in 2000 from Danish label Tender Production. I produced / sang this tune in my tiny tiny Tokyo flat around 1997 .. When I was 31 year old !!! Like a time warp tune to me … Some of my hard core old time fan loves this tune so it’s for you !!
Once again, big thank you to 2 goddesses Lex and Sophie for timeless spirit you infused into these tunes !!!
Especially I have a very emotional memory with ‘ Feels Like Yesterday ‘ … Because I composed this tune to dedicate for my best friend Edward Metcalfe who past away by heart attack exactly 1 month and 14 years ago yesterday. I wrote this tune right after I came back from his funeral in London to Bali .. And Soph accepted to sang because she was his very close friend too.
Time fly, so many changes in life .. But melodies and good memories are still remain intact in our heart. I hope these edits provoke some of your good days memories from those years !!!

‘ Summer Edit ‘ is EP from Japanese artist SUPERCOZI, who based in Nice Côte d’Azur, South of France.
EP contain 3 re-worked / edit version of her old Chillout tracks from 1996-2010, with additional Lofi Chill Hip hop beats and other elements.
01 – Waltz On The Dusk Sand feat.Lex Empress (SUPERCOZI Summer Edit)
Originally released in 2007 from Chillout compilation ‘ Chillpresso 1 〜 Dari Bali ‘ Dreamy Waltz beats downtempo with silky strings, featuring singer is Dutch singer Lex Empress who resides in Ibiza, Spain.
02 – Feels Like Yesterday feat.Sophie Barker (SUPERCOZI Summer Edit)
‘ Feels Like Yesterday ‘ was inspired by her memories of Devon, UK, where she lived between 2000 – 2003, and was produced in Bali. Featured vocalist is her long-time friend and beloved British singer-songwriter Sophie Barker, who is also known for her collaborations with Zero 7. Originally released in 2015 / from album ‘ Bioshifter ‘
03 – Universe (SUPERCOZI Summer Edit)
Originally released as a part of album CD ‘ Super Cozy ‘ from danish indie label Tender Production in 2000.
‘ Universe ‘ original version was one of her very early period tunes that she produced in her flat in Nishiazabu, Tokyo between 1996-1999. In the production she used Vision software on early Mackintosh computer synched to : AKAI sampler CD3000Xl, Yamaha Sound Module, Novation Super Bass station, and sound were mixed and recorded into a cassette tape on The Fostex 460 / 8 channel cassette tape Recorder. Then it was transferred to a proper digital console in a professional studio nearby as stereo mix, and recorded her voice on top & mixed down. Original Lofi sound the one may can say …

そしてサプライズとしてもう1曲、2000年にデンマークのレーベルからリリースされた ’ Universe ’ を追加してみました。この曲は1997年頃（私が31歳の時！）、住んでいた東京／西麻布のフラットで制作し、歌ったものです。私の昔からのファンの中には、この曲が大好きな人が結構いるので当時の雰囲気を残しつつエディットしてみました。
私にとっては、特に ‘ Feels Like Yesterday ‘ には感慨深い思い出があるんです…。というのも、ちょうど1ヶ月と14年前の昨日、心臓発作でこの世を去った親友のエドワード・メトカーフに捧げるためにこの曲を作曲したからです。ロンドンでの彼の葬儀からバリ島に戻ってすぐにこの曲を書き、彼の良き友人であったソフィーに歌ってくれないかと聞いたら快諾してくれたんですね。
時は流れ、人生には多くの変化がありました……しかし、メロディーと良い思い出は、今でも私たちの心の中にそのまま残っています。このエディットが、曲を知っている皆さんの当時の良き思い出を呼び起こすことを願っています。
夏らしく、ローファイでチルなヒップホップ・ビートに、少し音を足して、全体の雰囲気をシンプルにそしてレイドバックな雰囲気に保ちました。詳細と歌詞はBandcamp / YouTubeのページにあります。

「Summer Edit」は、南仏ニース・コートダジュールを拠点に活動する日本人アーティストSUPERCOZIのEPだ。
1996年から2010年にかけて東京都バリ島で製作された彼女のチルアウト・トラックに、ローファイ・チル・ヒップホップ・ビートなどを加えエディットした3曲が収録されている。
以下、曲の簡単な解説である。
01 – Waltz On The Dusk Sand feat.Lex Empress (SUPERCOZI Summer Edit)
オリジナルは2007年にリリースされたチルアウト・コンピレーション「Chillpresso 1 〜 Dari Bali」に収録されている。
スペインのイビサ島在住のオランダ人シンガー、Lex Empressをフィーチャーしたダウンテンポのドリーミーなワルツ・ビート。
02 – Feels Like Yesterday feat.Sophie Barker (SUPERCOZI Summer Edit)
2015年にリリースされたアルバム「Bioshifter」収録曲。
彼女が2000年から2003年まで住んでいたイギリスのデヴォン州の思い出にインスパイアされ、バリ島で制作された。
フィーチャリング・ヴォーカルは、彼女の長年の友人であり、ゼロ7とのコラボレーションでも知られるイギリスのシンガーソングライター、ソフィー・バーカー。
03 – Universe (SUPERCOZI Summer Edit)
オリジナル・バージョンは1996年から1999年にかけ、彼女が当時住んでいた東京・西麻布の自宅フラットで、初期のマッキントッシュ・コンピュータにインストールしたVisionソフトウェアとAKAIサンプラーCD3000Xl、ヤマハ・サウンド・モジュール、Novation Super Bass Stationを使い、Fostex 460の8チャンネル・カセット・テープ・レコーダーに録音して制作したものである。
オリジナルは、デンマークのインディ・レーベル、Tender ProductionからアルバムCD「Super Cozy」の一部として２０００年にリリースされた。
