Only 5 weeks to go till my new album ‘ Cinemadelica ‘ release, so MUSASABI crew are refurbishing this site. If you are a frequent visitor, you will notice a minor change here and there in next 5 weeks .. I have no idea how final version will be … It’s a very organic, spontaneous process lol .
One of the main thing of this up date was, re-design MIX page … and now it’s ONLINE !!
Now 48 selected Mixes from last 24 years – are neatly lined up there like a photo gallery.
There are 8 categories and top one is a newest Mix in the category. :

It was so interesting to see the time frame after I saw them lined up together like this.
Especially in the ‘ Festival & Party’ category ‘ I can see the trajectory of my life, such as the relief session for an American indie radio I did online during the Covid lockdown I experienced in Nice, and the events before and after.
But my good … Despite all that DJing, only 48 mixes went public in 28 long years of DJ life …… I think that’s a very small amount.
I can’t say I was very keen on recording mixes. Especially when even from my 15-year residency at the KU DE TA Bali (where at least two or three times a week was the default for 15 years), I only left 9 mixes. I even feel ashamed on this as it was such a beautiful ‘ Home ‘ for me !!
So most likely, these 48 mixes I was happy enough to left online are a chunk of the best selection, like cream on top of a creamy Irish coffee, I guess.
Listening to them again after all these years, I was amazed at how many tunes I’d forgotten were even in my collection. These great tunes I played back then, are all timeless, and full of variety and exciting inspiration in terms of genre, BPM, vibe and style.
I hope you will discover some new favourites of your own.

ニューアルバム「Cinemadelica」のリリースまであと5週間という事で、MUSASABIクルーが現在このサイトを改装しています。もしあなたがよくこのサイトを訪れているのなら、次の5週間中に色々マイナーチェンジしていることに気づくでしょう。最終版がどうなるかはわかりません。とても有機的で自然発生的なプロセスなんです(笑)。
今回のアップデートの目玉のひとつは、MIXページのリニューアルだったんですが、オンラインになりました！
過去24年間の選りすぐりの48ミックスが、フォトギャラリーのように整然と並んでいます。
カテゴリーは8つあり、一番上がそのカテゴリーの最新ミックスです。
こうして並べると、時間軸が見えてきて面白かったです。特に ‘ Festival & Party ‘ のカテゴリーでは、ニースで体験したコロナによるロックダウン中にオンラインでやったアメリカのインディーラジオ曲用のリリーフ・セッションや、その前後のイベントなど、自分の人生の軌跡が見えるようです。
あんなにDJをやっていたのにもかかわらず28年の長いDJ人生でたったの48のミックス……それはとても少ない量だとは思います。私はミックスを録音する事に熱心だったとはとても言えない量だとも言えるでしょう。
特に、バリのクーデターでの15年間のレジデント（週に最低２、３回が１５年間デフォルトだった）の年月からさえも、たった9ミックスだけしか残していないとは、我ながら情けないです。私にとってはとても美しい 『ホーム』だった場所なのに恥すら感じます。
逆に言えば、そんな怠惰な私でさえもオンライン上に残したこの48のミックスは、クリーミーなアイリッシュ・コーヒーの上にのったクリームのような、ベスト・セレクションだとも言えるかもしれないです。
長い年月を経て改めて聴いてみると、自分のコレクションにあることさえ忘れていたような曲の数々に驚かされました。当時プレイしたこれらの素晴らしい曲たちは、ジャンル、BPM、ヴァイブス、スタイルなど、どれも時代を超越したバラエティに富んでいて、ワクワクするような刺激にあふれています。
