( 日本語は↓）Supercozi proudly announce her new unit Congas Atlas with a French producer Blue Planet Corporation ( Gabriel Masurel).
Since the early days of psychedelic trance scene, Masurel has dropped a number of releases on legendary labels such as Flying Rhino in the UK, and being known as one of the pioneer of French Psychedelic Trance. Also, Supercozi’s unit with her ex husband Gus Till – Zen Lemonade – had developed number of devoted fans world wide who loves old school Psy-Trance since their debt EP from Dragonfly Records (UK ) in 2002.
Supercozi always liked the eclectic downtempo produced by Masurel, and asked him to produced a track for the first chillout compilation ‘ Chillpresso 1 dari bali ‘ on her label Hypo Espresso Records in 2007, and for ‘ Mutantribe ‘ which she compiled and released on the popular Danish label Iboga in 2013. Since then, they have been good friends.
And now .. 2021 … 2 veterans join together and successfully built their own cinematic soundscape world while keeping BPM in downtempo, yet their up coming debut EP from Liquid Sound Design (UK) is mesmerizing invitation for slow dancing bliss with psychedelic elements only they can catalyze.
Their collaboration began from their common love for Exotica, exotic musical genre that was popular in the 1950s from the comfort of their homes, as it gave them the opportunity to travel to distant places while safely remaining in their cocoons. Martin Denny, Les Baxter, Eden Abbez and Yma Sumac, to name but a few, were among the most renowned proponents of this music.
Congas Atlas’s one of the aim is, to build up an unique sound-sphere that combine the exotica & powerful modern electronic grooves.

Congas Atlas ( コンガス・アトラス）は、フランスのサイ・トランスのパイオニアであるガブリエル・マスレル ( Blue Planet Corporation ) とSUPERCOZI ( Zen Lemonade ) による新しいエレクトロニカ・ユニットだ。
マスレルはブルー・プラネット・コーポレーション名義でサイケデリック・トランス黎明期よりイギリスのフライングライノなど伝説のレーベルから多数の作品をドロップしてきた。スーパーコージのゼン・レモネードと共に、オールドスクールのゴア・トランス・ファンの間では愛されてきたプロデューサーであり、またダウンテンポ、チルアウトの楽曲を積極的にプロデュース、リリースしてきたという共通点もある。
マスレルのプロデュースする折衷的ダウンテンポを気に入っていたコージは、彼女主宰のレーベル、ハイポ・エスプレッソ・レコードの第一弾チルアウト・コンピレーション ‘ Chillpresso 1 dari bali ‘ (2007) や、彼女がコンパイルしデンマークの人気レーベル、イボガよりリリースされた ‘ Mutantribe ‘ ( 2013 ) 収録用に楽曲制作を依頼。以来、音楽の話をできる友人として親交を温めてきた。
そして２０２１年。2人のベテランが共に触発しあい、ダウンテンポBPMを維持しながら、独自のシネマティックなサウンドスケープの世界を構築することに成功した。イギリスの老舗レーベル、リキッド・サウンド・デザイン ( L.S.D ) から間もなくリリースされるデビューEPは、彼らだけが触媒となって産み出せるサイケデリックな要素満載。スローなダンスの至福への魅惑的な招待状だと言えるだろう。
彼らのコラボは1950年代にポピュラーだった音楽ジャンル、”エキゾチカ”の大ファンだという共通点から出発した。エキゾチカとは、繭の中にいながらにして遠い場所へ旅することができる音楽ジャンルで、マーティン・デニー、レス・バクスター、エデン・アベズ、イマ・スマックなどは、この音楽の最も有名な提唱者の一人である。
コンガス・アトラスの目的の一つは、エキゾチカとパワフルでモダンなエレクトロニック・グルーブを組み合わせたユニークな音域を構築することでもある。
