Congas Atlas is an Electronica unit with a psychedelic twist formed by a Paris-based French Psy-trance pioneer Gabriel Masurel ( Blue Planet Corporation ) and  Nice-based Japanese producer SUPERCOZI ( of Zen Lemonade  ). The two veterans and old friends joined together to create their own cinematic soundscape world made with downtempo grooves, yet the tunes on this debut EP are a mesmerizing invitation for slow dancing bliss. Congas Atlas refines the essence of Exotica with modern beats and deep pulse of Techno whilst maintaining their roots in Psychedelic dance music.

Gabriel and Cozi have both always shared a common love of Exotica, a musical genre most popular in the 1950’s across the globe, which offered people an opportunity to travel to far away distant places, yet still remain safely in their cocoons. Martin Denny & Les Baxter were two such musicians from this era among the most renowned proponents of this musical style.

For their debt EP, SUPERCOZI wrote trilogy SF story. Each story dedicated to 3 tunes, yet it’s a cinematic reading journey as one story. To polish it perfectly, Blue Planet Corporation’s good friend Fabien Le Roy ( Foobzipatham ) whom is a translator for the book of Frank Herbert ‘ Dune ‘ gave editorial advise on this booklet.

コンガス・アトラスは、パリを拠点とするフランス発ゴアトランスのパイオニア、ガブリエル・マスレル（ Blue Planet Corporation ）と、南仏ニースを拠点とする日本人プロデューサーSUPERCOZI（ Zen Lemonade ）による、サイケデリックなエレクトロニカ・ユニットだ。古い友達である2人のベテランが一緒になり、ダウンテンポなグルーヴで作られた独自のシネマティックなサウンドスケープの世界を作りあげた。このデビューEPの曲は、スローダンスの至福への魅惑的な招待状だと言えるだろう。

ガブリエルとコージは、1950年代に世界中で人気を博した音楽ジャンルであるエキゾチカが好きだという共通点がある。マーティン・デニーとレス・バクスターなどがこの時代の代表的なミュージシャンだ。

コンガス・アトラスは、彼らのルーツである９０年代サイケデリック・ダンス・ミュージックという軸を見事に保ちつつ、エキゾチカのエッセンスとテクノのモダンなビートや深いパルスを洗練された形で融合させることに成功した。またトラック２’ Narrow Escape ‘ では日本の古い民謡をメインのサンプルとして散りばめるなど、シネマティックな方法で日本の要素も強く反映された作品となっている。

また、今回のEP用にSUPERCOZIが特別に書き下ろした3部作のSFストーリーもカラフルなブックレットに掲載されている。
それぞれの物語はシングル収録の3曲に捧げられており、トータルとして映画のような1つの物語になってる。Blue Planet Corporationの親友であり、フランク・ハーバード著のSF小説「Dune」のフランス人翻訳アドバイザーであるFabien Le Roy氏（Foobzipatham）が、このブックレットの編集アドバイスを担当した。
